How Do I Even Start?

Okay so now you've already finished creating an account on oDesk. The next step is to apply for jobs. But! In order to be eligible for job applications, you still need to do one more thing--take and pass the oDesk Readiness Test (ORT). It has a longer name now though: oDesk Readiness Test for Independent Contractors and Staffing Managers.

From the name of the test itself, this test is just a quick way to gauge your knowledge about oDesk. It also serves as a quick tour of the basics to get started with oDesk. It's consisted of 11 questions and it requires a score of 5.0/5.0 in short, PERFECT SCORE. But don't you worry your little a** off, you can retake the test instantly if you fail.

As I mentioned on my first post, no one helped me while I was starting on oDesk. So I also had to take the ORT on my own, meaning I had to really read the FAQs in order for me to get a perfect score. It helped because I really learned the basics about oDesk. However, I would be very glad to share with you the answers to the test but it would still be better if you would read the FAQs yourself so that you will get to know oDesk really well. Anyway, on each question, there is a link that leads to the page of the FAQs where the answer can be located. So without further ado... behold... the oDesk Readiness Test! :D

Now these questions were the ones that were asked when I took the test for the Nth time just a few moments before I posted them here. When I took the test when I started 3 years ago, some of the questions were different. Some of the question then were still the questions now. I guess they change some of the questions every now and then. If you encounter this problem, don't forget that you have the links to the answers right after each question so you'll still be safe. Sometimes the  sequence varies but as long as the questions you'll be encountering are the same ones you just saw above, then you're good to go. Just in case the questions are totally different already, maybe after a year or whatever after this is posted, please let me know by commenting on this post so that I can update the photos for others to use. Now once you've passed the test, here's how the next page should look like:

There are also other tests available on oDesk. It is important that you take as many as you can so that your profile will stand out. It's much more important to pass these tests and if you can, make it to the top 10% or 5% or 20%. Here are the tests that I took on oDesk. Make sure that the tests you take are relevant to your skills.

There you go folks! Now you can start searching and applying for jobs! Happy hunting! :D
